The Patriot Riverboat was established in 2007 and it has been servicing thousands of clients ever since. The company started with the founder's simple desire to run a tour boat business on the Savannah River. One of the strong points of the Patriot Riverboat is the attention to history. During the "narrated tour," the Captain shares points of interest about the Savannah River, Augusta, Georgia in general and also recommends other things to do in the area.  In this way, tourists will know what to expect during their vacation stay.  

The Patriot Riverboat is a thing of marvel. It's a family owned boat built by Susquehanna Santee - one of the best commercial pontoon boat builders in the country. The Patriot Riverboat is a 16 foot wide and 50 foot long monster pontoon boat equipped with 3-foot diameter pontoons that have 27 separate water-tight compartments. With this design, the safety of the passengers and crew is ensured. The cabin is air-conditioned/heated and has panoramic windows for viewing incredible sights along the river. The boat can accommodate up to 60 passengers. The Patriot Riverboat is manned by fully licensed captains of the Coast Guard and is a Coast Guard inspected vessel.

 TOUR SPECIFICS

                                ​​​​​​1 Hour Public Tour Specifics

  • March - October:  Wednesday through Sunday's  
  • November - February:  Saturday's only.  Must call in advance during these months.
  • Reservations are encouraged for groups of 8 or more
  • Passengers are recommended to board at the Riverwalk Marina at the 5th Street Bridge  (1  5th Street, Augusta, GA)
  • Boarding is available at the dock behind the Marriott on 10th Street; however, not recommended unless you are staying at the Marriott due to parking.  
  • Minimum of six (6) paying adult passengers required for boat departure
  • Pay cash or credit/debit card at Riverwalk Marina location
  • Pay cash only at 10th Street dock behind the Marriott.  No credit/debit cards accepted at this location.  
  • ATM machine located at the Marriott lobby
  • Boarding begins 15 minutes prior to departure
  • Passengers may bring a small cooler, food and beverages for personal consumption (soft drinks, wine, beer, etc.)

2 Hour Sunset Tour Specifics

  • April - September:   Saturday Evenings Only. Reservations required. 
  • Passengers board ONLY at the Riverwalk Marina at the 5th Street Bridge, Augusta, GA.
  • Call for schedule.  Departure times change monthly due to sunset time changes.  
  • Minimum of ten (10) paying adult passengers required for boat departure.
  • Cash only.  No debit/credit cards accepted.
  • All passengers, regardless of age, are charged the same price.  Tour not recommended for children ages 10 and under.   
  • Boarding begins 15 minutes prior to departure
  • Passengers may bring a small cooler, food and beverages for personal consumption (soft drinks, wine, beer, etc.)



                             Charter Tour Specifics 

  • Charters:  7 days week, year round.  Flexible tour times to meet your needs.  Call (803) 730-9739  to book your group.
  • Boarding:  Group Leaders, call Captain Jim at (803) 730-9739 to discuss options.  Passengers in group, check with Group Leader for location
  • A non-refundable partial payment of 50% is required in advance and is non-refundable unless the trip is deemed unsafe conditions by Captain.
  • Balance due on charter is required upon arrival and prior to boat leaving the dock. 
  • Cash or check only.  No credit/debit cards accepted.
  • Group size:  Up to 60 people- crew will do a head count as passengers enter the gate.   Gate will be closed after 60th person enters.  Larger groups - call for options.
  • Boarding begins 15 mins prior to departure.
  • Group may bring coolers with food and beverages for personal consumption (soft drinks, wine, beer, etc.)
  • If you elect to have your event catered, please plan to have it set up for buffet or reception style.
  • Music and PA System available.  You are welcome to bring your own CD's, Phone or Computer.
  • Live entertainment is welcome.  No DJ's with speakers.  DJ's can operate their computer through our stereo speaker system.  Please have entertainers call (803) 730-9739 for set up instructions.
  • Tasteful decorations are acceptable; however, once event is over, charter group is responsible for removing all decorations.  







WHAT TO WEAR & BRING 

  • You will see a variety of sites. Some examples are various species of wildlife, beautiful homes, cypress trees, whitewater rapids, the fall line, the marina and the downtown area so you may want to bring a camera and/or binoculars.
  • Flat soled shoes are recommended but not required as you will walk down a ramp to get to the dock.  
  • In the summer months, light colored and loose fitting clothing will keep you cooler and more comfortable.
  • Passengers may bring beverages and snacks aboard.
